I was the most senior developer in the company with wide-ranging responsibilities including project planning and estimation, Java and iPhone coding, architecture design, coaching, client contact and performance reviews. Experience included:
- Working with @ishra to design and develop thetrainline iPhone app
- Designing, building, deploying and maintaining Timetable to Mobile, a Java ME rail timetable featured on the O2 Litmus Video Tour
Mobile Data and Wireless Senior Developer at Red Hot Chilli Ltd
Work including designing the 3G WAP Portal for BT’s Isle of Man 3G Trial.
Red Hot Chilli stopped trading on 30th July 2001.
Research Developer at h2g2 Ltd
h2g2, the Earth Edition of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, was bought by the BBC at the beginning of 2001. I was responsible for developing the mobile version of the site, available on WAP phones and PDAs (as featured on Tomorrow’s World in April 2000).
The mobile site has since been redeveloped and is available at http://www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/h2g2
